Bristol Fire Engineering at Make it in the Emirates 2026

Posted on 27 Apr at 10:29 am

About the Exhibition

Make it in the Emirates 2026 is one of the UAE’s key national exhibitions, bringing together UAE-based manufacturers, technology providers, buyers, and decision-makers around the future of local production. The exhibition serves as a platform for advanced manufacturing, business growth, and the strengthening of national production capabilities, which makes it a relevant setting for companies engaged in engineering and manufacturing across the UAE.

The Blast Resistant Door

A major highlight of Bristol Fire Engineering’s participation will be its Blast Resistant Door, a specialized solution developed for environments where high-risk protection is essential. For readers who would like to review the technical details more closely, please find attached Bristol Fire Engineering’s Blast Resistant Door brochure, which outlines the product’s intended applications, design purpose, performance criteria, and testing approach.

Designed and manufactured in the UAE, Bristol’s Blast Resistant Door also reflects an international engineering and sourcing approach. The door was tested in the United States in an open-arena environment to assess its performance under realistic blast conditions, while key materials and technical components are sourced from different parts of the world, including specialist hardware and blast-resistant glass. This combination highlights both Bristol’s local manufacturing capability and the global technical inputs behind the product.

The Blast Resistant Door is designed to withstand high intensity impulsive blast loads and help prevent the impact of a blast from transferring from one side of the door to the other. It is intended for demanding environments such as industrial facilities, petrochemical sites, military applications, and embassies.

Engineered for Protection and Continuity

The value of this product goes beyond resistance to pressure alone. The Blast Resistant Door is designed to help protect personnel and critical equipment, contain fire, smoke, and hazardous gases, preserve structural stability after severe impact, maintain evacuation routes, and reduce operational disruption. That makes it a relevant solution for facilities where safety, asset protection, and business continuity all matter at the same time.

The testing evaluated criteria including overpressure resistance, impulse resistance, deformation behaviour, hinge and lock shear capacity, frame anchorage strength, glazing hazard level, and post-blast operability. The listed reference standards include ASTM F2927, UFC 3-340-02, and ASCE Design of Blast-Resistant Buildings in Petrochemical Facilities.

Wider Bristol Product Range

While the Blast Resistant Door and Containerized Fire Pump are key points of focus for this event, they sit within a broader Bristol Fire Engineering portfolio. Bristol presents product categories that include fire pumps, fire detection, fire suppression, sprinklers, fire extinguishers, foam systems, firefighting equipment, fire rated doors, and vehicles.
  • Fire Pumps for dependable fire water supply, including UL listed and FM approved options for commercial and industrial applications.
  • Containerized Fire Pumps as fully packaged firefighting pumping systems that can be supplied in containerized enclosures or custom-built pump houses, engineered in accordance with NFPA 20 and designed to save space and time on site.
  • Fire Detection systems for early hazard identification through alarm and sensing solutions integrated into wider fire safety systems.
  • Fire Suppression systems supported by design, installation, inspection, and preventive maintenance services.
  • Fire Extinguishers across portable, mobile, and automatic configurations for different operational needs.
  • Foam Systems including proportioning units, monitors, deluge valves, foam makers, foam chambers, and mobile units.
  • Fire Fighting Equipment such as valves, hydrants, hose reels, cabinets, and related system components.
  • Fire Rated Doors including honeycomb, rockwool, glazed, wooden finish, and special purpose door options.

At the Exhibition

At Stand CM09, Hall 9, visitors will be able to gain a clearer view of Bristol Fire Engineering’s product capabilities, with particular attention on the Blast Resistant Door and the Containerized Fire Pump, while also seeing how these solutions fit within Bristol’s broader role as a manufacturer of fire protection systems and firefighting equipment in the UAE.
